Carol S. Knoy (Charnstrom), 72, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017. Carol was born on July 13, 1944 to Clyde and Edith (Chappell) Charnstrom in New Palestine, IN.
Carol was a lover of nature and animals; especially dogs. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds in her back yard. Carol had no children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were hers. She worked hard and received her degree from Indiana University and worked in Law Enforcement as a sentencing consultant with judges and defense attorneys.
Carol will be greatly missed by her 3 brothers; Barton Charnstrom, David (Sandra) Charnstrom and Andrew (Donna) Charnstrom, her sister Rebecca (Mark) Bennett, 6 nephews; Charles (Kimberly) Wolfe, John (Michelle) Bennett, Mark Christopher (Rachael) Bennett, Brett (Michelle) Charnstrom, Michael Charnstrom and Will Charnstrom, 2 nieces; Jennifer Charnstrom and Katie (Patrick) Haggan, several great nieces, nephews and a dear friend Don Robbins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Carol will be held on Thursday February 16, 2017 at 12 PM at HENDRYX MORTUARY NEW PALESTINE CHAPEL 19 E. Main Street New Palestine, IN 46163 with an hour of visitation prior to funeral. Friends may visit from 4-8 PM on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at the mortuary. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine, IN with Rev. David Lee to preside. Memorial contribution made in Carol's memory can be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis Humane 7929 N. Michigan Road Indianapolis, IN 46268 or envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Hendryx Mortuary is honored to serve Carol's family.
