Carolyn Christine Groschelle, 71, of New Palestine, IN, passed away on December 22, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on Jan. 23, 1945, in Indianapolis, IN, to William "Art" Williams and Virginia (Stroud) Williams. She later met and married Dale Groschelle and they were happily married for many years prior to his passing. Carolyn received her Associate's degree in nursing. After completing her education, she worked as LPN for Methodist Hospital until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises, but her greatest source of joy was the time she shared with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she loved so very much and her dog, Rambo. Carolyn is survived by her son, Tommy (Angel) Collins; daughter, Vonda (Scott) Deaton; sister, Shirley Kaler; sister, Loretta Weddle; brother, Bob (Mary) Williams; as well as three grandchildren, Damon, Jacob, and Morgan. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held on Thursday December 29, 2016, at 12:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM prior to service at Hendryx Mortuary – New Palestine Chapel, 19 East Main St. New Palestine, IN 46163. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hendryx Mortuaries. Online condolences may be directed to or the Hendryx Mortuaries' Facebook page.
