Earnest Sneed, 14, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was born on May 22, 2002 in Indianapolis, IN to Jami Sneed and Quincy Griffin. He attended Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. Earnest had a passion for playing basketball, he took pride in his shoe and clothing collection, as well as spending time with his family and close friends, including his dog "Red".
He will be greatly missed by his family including his father, Quincy Griffin; mother, Jami Sneed and her significant other, Kevin Dowdy; brothers, David Sneed, Steven Matlock, Jr., Malachi Oliver, and London Henson; sisters, Jayda Sneed, Quinterria Moore, Serenity Lane, and MaShay Keefer; grandfather, Willie Griffin; grandmother, Sandra Hundley; grandmother, Carolyn Sneed; great-grandmother, Bernice Chipp; uncle, Jason Sneed; aunt, Amy Sneed; as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Earnest was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Verlin Chipp; and his aunt, Jacinda Sneed.

Funeral Services for Earnest will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 4:00 PM, with visitation from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM prior to service at Hendryx Mortuaries – Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.
