G. Thomas (Tommy) Wills, 93, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on October 20, 2017. Wills was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio to Orval Wills and Lucille (May) Wills on August 7, 1924. He had been a resident of Indianapolis since 1970.Tommy was a well-known musician, traveling the United States and Canada, leading the Eddie Howard Orchestra and also the Ted Weems Orchestra. Tommy's big hit was "Man With A Horn" in 1963, and was on jukeboxes worldwide. He was inducted into the Indiana Jazz Hall of Fame in 2009. Tommy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Verla, three sons, Terry, Tommy and Todd, also two step-sons, Stephen and Michael Thomas, and step-daughter Jennifer Faires and good friend, Ron Sutton. He also had 10 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service for Thomas will take place on November 19, 2017 from 2:00 PM -6:00 PM at Hendryx Mortuary- Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229.
