Helen Putty 83, of New Palestine, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was born January 13, 1934 in Temperance Hall, TN.
Helen attended the New Palestine United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years and had been active in various church roles for decades. She enjoyed shopping and painting. Mrs. Putty was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Putty, her mother, Willie Midgett and beloved stepfather, Tommy Driver.
She is survived by 4 children: Anthony (Teresa) Putty, Dr. Tim (Dee) Putty, Roger (Connie) Putty, Tracy Follstad, her sister, Beverly Houchins; 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday February 2, 2017 at 5PM at Hendryx Mortuary 19 E. Main Street New Palestine, IN 46163 with Roger Holder to preside. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Hendryx Mortuary is honored to serve the Putty Family.
