Roberta E. "Bobbi" Winter of Indianapolis died Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was 64 years old. Bobbi was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 17, 1952 to Robert and Ruth (Clemmer) McConnell. She attended Indiana Central University and earned her Associates Degree in Nursing in 1972. She was a Registered Nurse for many years, in the Indianapolis area. Bobbi was an avid New York Rangers hockey fan and enjoyed motorcycling with her husband, Jim.
In addition to her parents, Bobbi was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew W. Rothrock; her sister, Diana Ewry of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Bobbi is survived by her husband, Jim, her son, Rick Rothrock and his wife Nikki; step-children, Nikole Groeschen and husband Eric; Jodi Diefenderfer, and Adam Winter and wife Chrissy. Also surviving are eight grand-children (Ethan and Gavin Rothrock, Noah and Sophia Groeschen, Lindsay, Thomas, and Meghan Vibbert and Nicholas Winter) and her black lab, Belle, whom everyone knows as "Puppy." Visitation for Bobbi Winter is Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00 – 8 p.m. at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel. Funeral Services are Friday, January 6, 2017 at the mortuary, with one additional hour of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
